Automation and Integration
If your staff copy information from one system to another, rebuild the same spreadsheet every month, or chase the same tasks by email, a computer could be doing that work. We write the automation that joins your systems together and takes repetitive work off people’s plates.
Our team has been writing business automation for over fifteen years: billing systems, network operations software, stock control, provisioning and self-documenting infrastructure, for organisations from small offices to national providers.
Where to start
Tell us about the job that frustrates your team most. We’ll look at how it’s done today and which systems are involved, then give you a fixed quote with a realistic estimate of the time it saves. Small jobs are often a few days’ work and pay for themselves within months.
Simple, documented and yours
We build the simplest thing that does the job, using well-known tools and languages such as Python, so you aren’t locked in to us. Everything is documented, kept in version control and monitored, so you know when something needs attention.
What we do
- System integration: Accounting, CRM, practice management, booking and stock systems connected through their APIs, so information is entered once
- Custom APIs: An API built for your own system or database, so other tools can work with it safely
- Workflow automation: Approvals, onboarding, reminders and follow-ups that happen automatically, using platforms such as Power Automate and n8n where they fit
- Billing and invoicing: Usage, time or subscription data turned into accurate invoices without manual calculation
- Reporting: Reports and dashboards that build themselves from live data instead of copied spreadsheets
- Documents: Quotes, certificates, risk assessments and customer letters generated from your data
- Stock and barcodes: Scanning, stock levels and ordering connected to the systems you already use
- Infrastructure automation: Servers, network devices and monitoring built and configured automatically with tools such as Ansible, so they are consistent and self-documenting
Where AI is the right tool, such as reading emails or extracting data from documents, see AI integration. Read how automation ran an internet provider’s back office.
Fix the process first
Automating a poor process just makes mistakes faster. Before we write anything, we map how the work flows today, look for steps that can be removed altogether, and agree what “done” looks like. Sometimes the answer is a setting in software you already own, and we’ll tell you that.
Common questions
Our software is off the shelf. Can it still be automated?
Usually. Most modern business software has an API, and where it doesn’t, there are often import, export or email routes we can use reliably.
What happens if a system we connect to changes?
Our automations are monitored and fail loudly rather than silently. If a vendor changes their system, we’re alerted and fix it, as part of ongoing support or as a small piece of work.
Who owns the code?
You do. It’s documented and handed over, so any competent developer can maintain it.
